Fire Alarm Confuses Sheffield’s International Students

Fire alarm went off in the morning at Cantor building raises questions from students whether is it a drill or a real deal.

Best not to waste too much time thinking, fire alarm means evacuate the building as soon as possible.

Students who stayed in classrooms were urged to leave by fire marshall who pointed out this was not a drill!

Within seconds, efficiency of the fire Marshall got individuals outside Cantor building taking precautions and care.

Fire Marshall David Culver said people should not hesitate to leave the building when they hear the fire alarm as chances are it could be a real fire.

Fire alarm drills are frequently tested every Monday in UNITE buildings and Friday morning in Cantor building.

Fire alarms are frequently tested – but students are asked to always react as they would in an emergency.
